Hi, I'm Jess!

Based in Oxford, MS, Jess Richardson received her BFA in Imaging Arts from the University of Mississippi in 2017. She is the former coordinator for the Mississippi Presenters’ Network, where she worked to connect artists and arts organizations in order to encourage collaboration, increase organizational capacity, and increase opportunities for artists in Mississippi.

She is a practicing photographer and printmaker, whose work focuses on everything from distorting the familiar to bring out new views, to visual interpretations of mental illness to promote greater understanding among the general population.

Richardson has been exhibited nationally in shows like the Mary R Koch Art Center’s Photographic Arts National Exhibition, where she received honorable mention, and the Mississippi Collegiate Art Competition. She has also held multiple solo shows in Oxford, and has been a regular contributor for Invitation Magazine for 6 years.

In Richardson’s portraiture, she specializes in boudoir and fashion, but has also been photographing senior portraits, engagements, and more since 2012.
